The students of Christiane-Herzog-Schule (CHS), Heilbronn (Germany) arrived in Nairobi for their three week study tour. The study tours that this school (named after the late wife of the former German President) has been doing in Kenya since 2004 was almost cancelled when our country experienced post election skirmishes in 2007/2008. The students and their teachers are happy to bring a symbol of peace to the shaken but wonderful country. This golden dove symbolizes the trust and goodwill the youngsters have on Kenya as well as their determination to share their own country’s historical challenges. The 14 girls and 2 boys are motivated to contribute towards the peace efforts by bring along the Dove of Peace.
